Senior Data Scientist

Description & Requirements

The Infor Revenue Management System (RMS) team is looking to hire a Senior Data Scientist. Infor RMS is one of the market leading solutions developed for the hospitality industry and installed within the biggest hotel groups in the world.
Infor RMS is a revenue management cloud-based solution that automatically, on a daily basis, calculates demand and revenue forecasts, while recommending appropriate selling strategies. Those recommendations are then uploaded to hotels’ websites or to online travel agencies (Booking.com, Expedia…).
Our team works on end-to-end problem solving. This starts with understanding the business problem, prototyping, modeling solutions, designing data pipelines, and at the end implementing algorithms in production systems.
As a senior data scientist, you are expected to have experience in using your analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret real-world customer data. You will then use this information to develop data-driven solutions to solve business related challenges.

Your Responsibilities Include

• Apply advanced scientific knowledge to build and test AI / ML approaches.
• Design experiments, prototype and optimize different AI / ML techniques to develop existing and new product features.
• Clean, verify the integrity of complex data and perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA).
• Write summaries and reports to present technical findings/conclusions and project status updates.
• Help on optimizing the existing processes and procedures and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Program and write maintainable and well-documented code.
• Mentor junior Data Scientists/interns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills, You Bring to the Organization

• Intelligent, fast-thinking and highly motivated with a strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with Python (Jupyter, NumPy, Pandas, etc) must have experience in at least one of the common data science toolkits, such as scikit learn, Tensorflow, PyTorch, etc.
• SQL for databases querying.
• Operational research or revenue management science skills would be good to have.
• Clear knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, etc.) and their applications.
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
• Good balance between Data Science and Software Development.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
