Rached Dhaouadi received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Minnesota, USA, in 1988 and 1990 respectively, in Electrical Engineering. Dr. Dhaouadi has over 28 years of industrial and academic experience in various universities. From 1990 to 1994 he worked as a Visiting Researcher with the Hitachi Research Laboratory, Hitachi, Ltd., Japan, where he was engaged in the design and development of motor drive systems for rolling mills. In 1994, he was a Visiting Researcher at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway.
