الواجبات والمسؤوليات
يُعَاون المتدرب مكتب الأمم المتحدة في تونس في تنفيذ مهمته: العمل من أجل حماية جميع حقوق الإنسان لكل الناس؛ ومساعدة المسؤولين عن دعم هذه الحقوق في ضمان تطبيقها. ستعتمد المسؤوليات اليومية للمتدرب في حقوق الإنسان على خلفية الفرد وقد تشمل، على سبيل المثال لا الحصر، جمع معلومات أساسية، تحليل القضايا الرئيسية، جمع المعلومات والوثائق المستلمة. قد يقوم المتدرب بـ: مراجعة المعلومات والوثائق ذات الصلة بعمل المفوضية السامية لحقوق الإنسان بالعربية والفرنسية، بهدف اكتساب فهم أساسي للولاية والسياسات الاستراتيجية وإطار البرامج/الأنشطة للمكتب ومساعدة مسؤولي حقوق الإنسان (HROs) في عملهم. المساعدة في تحليل المعلومات المتعلقة بمراجعة sh Universal Periodic Review (UPR)، وهيئات المعاهدات والإجراءات الخاصة والمتابعة عند اللزوم. دعم أنشطة التعاون التقني التي تقوم بها HRO. المساعدة في تنظيم الاجتماعات والندوات والبعثات الرسمية؛ وأداء واجبات أخرى يطلبها المشرف، عند الاقتضاء.
المؤهلات/المهارات الخاصة
يجب أن يكون المتقدمون إما: (أ) مسجلين في، أو أكملوا، برنامج دراسات عليا (درجة جامعية ثانية أو ما يعادلها، أو أعلى)؛ أو، (ب) مسجلين في، أو أكملوا، السنة الأكاديمية الأخيرة من برنامج درجة جامعية أولى (على الأقل مستوى البكالوريوس أو ما يعادله). الخلفيات الأكاديمية في العلاقات الدولية، القانون الدولي لحقوق الإنسان، العلوم السياسية، أو المجالات ذات الصلة مرغوبة. لا شيء متاح. ن/لا

Duties and Responsibilities
The intern shall support OHCHR Country Office in Tunisia in fulfilling its mission: to work for the protection of all human rights for all people; and to assist those responsible for upholding such rights in ensuring that they are implemented. Daily responsibilities of the human rights intern will depend on the individual's background and duties may include but are not limited to compiling basic information, analyzing key issues, collecting information and documents received. The intern may: review relevant information and documents related to OHCHR work in order to acquire basic understanding of the mandate, strategic policies, framework of programmes/ activities of the Office and assist the Human Rights Officers (HROs) in their work. Assist in analyzing information pertaining to the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), treaty bodies and special procedures and follow-up, as necessary. Lend support to technical cooperation activities conducted by HRO. Assist in organizing meetings, seminars and official missions; and perform other duties requested by supervisor, as appropriate.
Qualifications/special skills
Applicants must either: (a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or, (b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent). Academic backgrounds in international relations, international human rights law, political science, or related fields is desirable. n/a N/A
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this internship fluency in Arabic and French is required. Knowledge of English is desirable.

Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions. Interns who are not citizens or permanent residents of the country where the internship is undertaken, may be required to obtain the appropriate visa and work/employment authorization. Successful candidates should discuss their specific visa requirements before accepting the internship offer.
