To reinforce our Program Department, we are looking for qualified candidates for Agriculture Climate Change Project Coordinator position.

Job Summary:



We are looking to recruit an intern to support our beneficiary mobilization efforts as part of the ‘Sharing Underutilized Resources for Fishers and Farmers’ SURF project. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to stakeholder engagement and the implementation of our field initiatives. The intern will play a critical role in ensuring effective communication, coordination, and data collection, supporting our community-based approach to development.

Accountabilities:



Identify and mobilize potential beneficiaries in the intervention areas. Organize and coordinate meetings with beneficiaries and local partners. Monitor and report on mobilization activities. Support community engagement and awareness efforts. Collect data on beneficiary participation. Contribute to the writing of mobilization activity reports. Assist in the planning and organization of field activities.

Applied Knowledge & Skills:



Strong communication and organizational skills. Basic understanding of community development, project management, and stakeholder engagement. Uses established filing and data systems, functions, and/or procedures that require knowledge of the program. Ability to work independently with a focus on field-based tasks. Proficiency in both French, Arabic, and English is mandatory. Familiarity with rural community settings and experience with fieldwork is an advantage. Proofreads documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and basic formatting. Provides answers to requests for general information.

Problem Solving & Impact:



Works on tasks related to community mobilization, providing support for the implementation of project objectives. Assists with engagement efforts and contributes to solving logistical and coordination challenges in the field. Decisions may impact specific project deliverables and community relations.

Supervision Given/Received:



Works under close supervision with frequent feedback and guidance. Interactions are primarily within the project team, focusing on providing information, logistical support, and task coordination. Receives general instructions on assignments and is monitored for accuracy and completion. Typically reports to a Project Manager.

Education:



Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Community Development, Project Management, Sociology, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Experience:



Demonstrated interest in community mobilization and local development. Prior experience working with rural communities or in a development setting is a plus. Prior work experience in a non- governmental organization (NGO) a plus. Any field experience is an asset

Typical Physical Demands:



Requires fieldwork in rural settings, involving frequent travel to project sites. Ability to spend extended periods outdoors and engage with community members in various settings. Ability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods.

Travel Requirements:



Frequent travel required to project sites within intervention areas.
