- Analyzing sales data to determine optimal stock levels for various eyewear, contact lens, and ophthalmic lens SKUs.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records across multiple warehouses, with a focus on proactively monitoring expiry dates for goods with expiration periods to ensure stock doesn't expire.
- Setting minimum and maximum stock levels to ensure product availability while minimizing carrying costs.
- Monitoring sales trends to identify reorder points and place timely orders with international suppliers.
- Processing bulk customer orders and communicating them clearly to the warehouse team.
- Factoring in supplier-provided lead times, shipment finalization times, and customs lead times to formulate accurate ordering schedules.
- Distributing inventory strategically across our distribution centers to ensure optimal product availability.
- Implementing safety stock procedures to mitigate stockouts.
- Overseeing the exchange and efficient distribution of goods between distribution centers.
- Collaborating with the marketing and sales teams to ensure product availability aligns with sales plans and marketing efforts for new product launches.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related inventory management or supply chain role.Proven experience with inventory analysis and forecasting techniques.Strong understanding of warehouse operations and distribution processes.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant inventory management software.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.A passion for the eyewear and contact lens industry (a plus!).Production Engineers are not recommended
