Responsible for purchasing trade items, accessories, spare parts required for internal use as well as for customer project sites
- Receiving purchase requisitions from various departments
- Source suppliers and collect prices, identify foreign and domestic suppliers.
- Price negotiation and comparison (to search for the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible purchase cost)
- Prepare purchase orders based on company policy and ISO requirement, and forward to Management for approval.
- Ensure maximum credit policy & discount from suppliers.
- Preparing and maintaining database of approved international and local suppliers as per ISO 9001 requisites.
- Develop and implement purchasing policies, and procedures with management approval.
- Ensure the timely delivery of procured materials.
- In case of quality & quantity discrepancy, communicate with suppliers for corrective action.
- Arranging documents as per ISO procedure and standard.
- Creating accessories costing sheets and price lists
- Ensure the original import documents are received on time in order to avoid port penalty & demurrage costs.
- Create weekly procurement reports to management
- Monitor International and local materials price trends, maintain relevant statistical data for decision making
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Commerce, or a closely related field.Minimum 3 years experience in a relevant role.Excellent command of both Arabic and English, written and spoken.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint).Strong internet research and general computer literacy.A valid driving license is preferred.
