Leadership & Coordination
- Lead QA/QC engineers, lab technicians, and inspectors.
- Allocate daily tasks and provide technical guidance to the QA/QC team.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, and all departments to align quality activities with operations.
Quality Assurance (QA)
Supervise and validate:
- Raw material testing (aggregates, cement, steel).
- Concrete mix design and batching plant operations.
- Circumference and dimensional checks of steel cages and formed pipes.
- Hydrostatic pressure testing on pipes and special parts.
- Finishing, repairs, surface coatings, and insulation procedures.
- Steam curing and demolding procedures.
- Monitor and record nonconformities during each stage of production.
- Ensure final inspection and approval before loading/shipping of pipes.
- Review and audit the implementation of ISO 9001.2015
- and 45001.2017 procedures in all factory departments
Quality Assurance (QA) Activities
- Develop and update the factory quality manual and procedures.
- Prepare Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and method statements for all production activities.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits (consultants, clients, or certification bodies).
- Analyze quality performance trends and implement continuous improvement actions.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain complete QA/QC records for each production batch.
- Issue daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
- Maintain calibration logs for testing equipment.
- Ensure traceability of all materials and finished products.
- Submit periodic quality performance reports and trend analysis to management.
Communication
- Liaise with client representatives, third-party inspectors, and certification agencies.
- Attend quality coordination meetings and production planning sessions.
- Provide quality training sessions for QA/QC and production staff.
Education Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.Experience:Minimum 7 years of experience in QA/QC, preferably in precast/prestressed concrete manufacturing.Strong knowledge of pipe forming, curing, testing, and finishing processes.Familiarity with steam curing, hydrostatic testing, and segmental manufacturing.Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems and QA/QC documentation.Knowledge of AWWA, ASTM, or EN standards related to concrete pipe.
