Position Summary / Job Brief:
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented MEP Estimation & Procurement Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in MEP estimation and procurement. This role requires excellent analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. You will play a key role in preparing competitive tenders and managing procurement strategies for complex projects including commercial, residential, and institutional developments.
Required Education:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Required Experience & Certificates:
-Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP estimation within the construction or contracting industry.
-Minimum 3 years of experience in MEP procurement, including vendor evaluation and logistics.
-Proven experience working on diverse project types: buildings, hospitals, malls, schools, residential and commercial complexes.
-Strong familiarity with contractual documents, BOQs, and tendering procedures.
-Experience with international and local shipping and logistics terms and practices.
Required Skills:

-Excellent analytical and cost comparison capabilities.
-Proficiency in reading and understanding mechanical and electrical drawings.
-Familiarity with MEP design standards, procurement systems, and logistics tracking.
-High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software.
-Strong understanding of contract terms and payment structures.
-Familiarity with preparing contractual documents is a plus.
-Fluency in English is required; French is a plus.
Tasks and Duties:
-Prepare comprehensive MEP tender files, including accurate BOQs for all disciplines.
-Perform detailed quantity take-offs for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
-Coordinate with engineers to discuss and verify MEP scope prior to bid submission.
-Prepare clear and competitive cost estimations for a wide range of projects.
-Analyze different design and material inputs to ensure fair and consistent pricing.
-Create work packages based on project requirements and divide tasks accordingly.
-Participate in value engineering efforts during the tender stage.
-Identify qualified suppliers and subcontractors for MEP items.
-Evaluate and negotiate purchase agreements, terms, and timelines.
-Manage logistics operations for MEP equipment and materials.
-Analyze payment terms, delivery schedules, and customs/shipping compliance.
-Maintain strong working relationships with vendors to ensure cost-efficiency and quality.
-Track and coordinate the movement of MEP materials from suppliers to site.
-Maintain documentation for shipping, customs, and clearance procedures.
