Partnership Officer

The Partnership Officer will play a key role in expanding our business by cultivating and managing relationships with a diverse range of partners. This role requires a highly organized and motivated individual with excellent relationship management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Responsibilities


  • Create a systematic, process-driven approach for partner outreach and relationship management.
  • Develop an on-boarding plan and certification program to the partners to be completed following the enablement and orientation sessions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement joint marketing, sales, and support initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior management, Business Development teams, and Strategy Manager to align our internal goals with new and existing partner relationships in Africa.
  • Represent ProgressSoft at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and build strategic relationships.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and contracts, ensuring terms are mutually beneficial and aligned with ProgressSoft´s objectives.
  • Develop a “Partner Kit” and collaborate with the marketing team to ensure partners receive the appropriate materials including branding guidelines, product summaries and presentations as applicable.
  • Work in liaison with the Business Development member handling the assigned territory to align on partnership agreement scopes, quotas, products covered, exclusivity, etc...
  • Maintain an ongoing relationship with current partners and offer new ways to grow the partnership.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at partner organizations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including Business Development, Marketing, strategy, Product Development, and Operations, to support partnership initiatives and drive results.
  • Identify and source partnership opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls, emails, and client visits in Africa.
  • Proactively seek out new partnership opportunities that align with the company’s strategic goals, Business Development team’s needs, and potentially complimentary products.
  • Analyze potential partnerships to assess strategic fit, value proposition, and potential ROI.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and identify emerging technologies and partners.
  • Forecast, measure, and report the results of various projects with partners, including co-created and/or co-branded content promotions, lead sharing, and/or event partnerships.
  • Analyze partnership performance, challenges, and opportunities to provide regular reports and insights to internal stakeholders.

Requirements


  • Possesses 3-5 years of experience in partnership management. 
  • Experienced in the IT and banking industry best practices, with a strong understanding of emerging technologies and their impact on financial services. 
  • Excellent knowledge of local Africa payments infrastructure & industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and managing partnerships.
  • Ability to track and analyze partnership performance. 
  • Ability to evolve in a complex environment.
  • Ability to operate with complete independence and autonomy.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and strategic thinking skills. 
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English is a must.
  • Ability to coherently communicate in French, both verbally and in writing.
