Your main tasks include, among others:
Identify local requirements for financial statements and contact the respective Head Office department, collect necessary data, engage local accountant / auditors if required
Identify and formulate local accounting specifics including tax regulations for the VAT and WHT and forward information to the airline’s headquarter (HQ) accounting and accounting centers Submit and pay obligatory tax declarations in due time (i.e. VAT, CIT, PIT, etc.), provision of respective reports, keep local books where necessary and recover receivable tax refunds in due time Handle tax audits by local authorities Establish contact to local/regional collection companies / law firms Define local invoicing specifics and coordinate local scanning and archiving of invoices Handle local payments Support procurement topics Annual closing activities (reporting, provisions) Handle legal cases in the countries of responsibility by forwarding them to local lawyers Update bank documentation
The ideal Finance Specialist should meet the following requirements:
University degree (Bachelor) in Accounting, Business Administration, etc. and at least 2 years of work experience Vocational Training in Accounting, Business Administration, etc. and at least 5 year of work experience
Fluent knowledge of English and French, both written and spoken Knowledge of local Tax compliance and regulatory regulations Solid knowledge on fiscal law Very good knowledge of MS-Office products SAP knowledge desirable Diligent, independent and systematic approach to work Goal orientation Ability to deal with complex issues Numeracy skills Ability to prioritize Courteous manner and social skills, explicit customer- and team-orientation Ability to instruct colleagues in technical matters Willingness to travel Constant time pressure High stress levels Tight deadlines, immediate action required on urgent cases Willingness to work flexible hours

Must possess a legal work permit in Tunisia
