Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team for a Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Plant project. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems associated with the solar plant. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, PV technology, and project management to ensure efficient and reliable operation of the solar power systems.


Key Responsibilities


  1. Design and Development:


    • Develop electrical design specifications and schematics for PV solar plant systems, including inverters, transformers, and wiring layouts.
    • Perform load calculations and system analysis to optimize system performance.
    • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  2. Installation and Commissioning:


    • Oversee the installation of electrical systems and components, including panels, wiring, and control systems.
    • Supervise electrical contractors and ensure that installations meet design specifications and safety standards.
    • Conduct system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure proper operation of electrical systems.
  3. Maintenance and Optimization:


    • Monitor and maintain electrical systems to ensure continuous and efficient operation.
    • Implement preventive maintenance schedules and address any issues or malfunctions.
    • Analyze system performance data and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  4. Project Management:


    • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to integrate electrical systems into the overall project plan.
    • Prepare and review technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
    • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources related to electrical engineering tasks.
  5. Compliance and Safety:


    • Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and industry regulations.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to mitigate potential hazards.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in regulations.
  6. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:


    • Provide technical support and guidance to the installation and maintenance teams.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues that arise during installation and operation.
    • Develop and implement solutions to technical challenges.
  7. Documentation and Reporting:


    • Maintain accurate records of design changes, system performance, and maintenance activities.
    • Prepare and submit reports on project progress, system performance, and compliance.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Experience: electrical engineering, with specific experience in PV solar systems mandatory

Additional Information
