About the role:
We are reinforcing our platform operations team to support growth in the Capital Markets Software as a Service (SaaS) environments. We are looking forexperienced technical operations to supplement the existing support team who manages the environments for Transfer Agency Solutions, providingshareholder services to our customers.



About the team:
The team provides day-to-day hands-on support for the applications in which our customer operates their business. The team is made up of seniortechnologists covering a broad array of software and infrastructure. The support model is follow-the-sun and provides support coverage around the clockwith team members located globally.



What you will be doing:
Day-to-day support of production environments is mission one. The goals of the team are to provide any downtime for our customers and mitigate anyunplanned issues. In addition, the team provides technical support to do projects, releases, conversions, and business continuity.



What you will need:
Hands on experience in managing enterprise level batch processing using CA Workload Automation AE (Autosys) scheduling software
Strong unix shell scripting skills
Hands on experience in supporting day to day operations tasks in an enterprise environment
Knowledge of DevOps tools as part of the deployment pipeline e.g. Git, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Elastic, Jira



Technical Skills:
The following technical skills are highly desirable- candidates should be able to minimally be familiar with the concepts and plan to build these skills as partof their developmental growth at FIS
Working knowledge of networking, routing, Loadbalacers, VPNs
Understanding of various communication protocols - FTP, SFTP, SSL, HTTPS
General working knowledge of DBMS suites (Oracle, SQL)



Devops skill set:
Hands on one or many scripting languages: BASH, BAT, Cron, KORN, python, powershell
Logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Greylog
Experience with IDE software (e.g. Visual Studio Code, Atom)
Experience with Git source control systems (e.g. Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab)
Experience with CI/CD orchestration systems (e.g. Jenkins, Harness, Octupus)
Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)



Security admin:
SSH, TLS, general working knowledge
Certificate management



Working knowledge of ITIL practices:
Change Management
Incident Management
Problem Management
Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery
Typical organizational skills



Responsibilities:
Monitor, Track and Report on all job abends/errors
Maintain and monitor all application schedules, investigating and repairing errors
Design, update and maintain monitoring tools
Create, update and maintain run and recovery procedures
Maintenance of the batch schedules for the distributed environment using the CA Workload Automation AE (Autosys) scheduling software



Daily monitoring of the run schedules. Attendance at daily standup status meetings to discuss any reported scheduling issues
Design and maintenance of all scheduling flows, calendars and associated resources
On request changes to job flows
On request project enhancements/additions to job flows
Troubleshoot and rectify any scheduler-related issues affecting correct and timely job flows
Assist in application recoveries by providing necessary scheduling expertise when required
Verify scheduling changes introduced by other Technical Analysts



Application Maintenance
Monitor scheduling software performance
Interface with scheduling software vendors to get resolution to questions or issues regarding the scheduling software, or to request enhancements toscheduling software functionality
Work with Systems Engineering to ensure that scheduling software platforms are successfully supporting the operation of the software.



Efficiency and Productivity
Review run schedules on a standard and constant basis for accuracy and efficiency
Develop or otherwise undertake projects designed to improve productivity of the scheduling software, usually via scheduling efficiency enhancements.



Change Management
Attend regularly-scheduled change management meetings on an as-needed basis to discuss any scheduling requirements.



Projects & Other Assigned Tasks
Work on assigned projects/tasks
Appropriately escalate any error/issue that progresses beyond first-level support
Own and drive high severity incidents by coordinating with technical, client services and professional services team
Participate in disaster recovery and maintenance activities
Take automation improvement initiatives to reduce manual tasks improving efficiencies using DevOps tools
