Sales Engineer/ Executive - Heavy Earthmoving/Construction Machinery Equipment

Job Title: Sales Executive - Heavy Earthmoving/Construction Machinery Equipment or Heavy Commercial Vehicles

Position Summary: The Sales Executive will promote and sell heavy earthmoving/construction machinery and/or heavy commercial vehicles. The role involves driving sales growth, expanding customer relationships, and meeting sales targets within assigned territories or sectors. This role suits a dynamic and proactive salesperson with experience in the machinery or vehicle industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Development:
    • Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to achieve revenue and sales targets for heavy machinery and commercial vehicles.
    • Generate new leads and pursue potential clients in construction, mining, and other relevant industries.
    • Attend industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions to promote products and identify sales opportunities.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients, including contractors, project managers, fleet managers, and purchasing agents.
    • Conduct client meetings, site visits, and presentations to understand customer needs and provide suitable solutions.
    • Respond to client inquiries and provide after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis & Strategy:
    • Research and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
    • Identify potential areas of growth and work with management to develop product promotion strategies.
  • Sales Reporting & Forecasting:
    • Prepare regular sales reports and provide forecasts to track sales progress and opportunities.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client information, and interactions in the CRM system.
  • Product Knowledge & Training:
    • Develop in-depth knowledge of the heavy equipment and commercial vehicle products offered, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
    • Provide technical information to clients and participate in training sessions to stay updated on product developments.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 1+ years of proven experience in sales, preferably within the heavy equipment, construction machinery, or heavy commercial vehicle industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the heavy equipment and commercial vehicle market.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.

Skills Required

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market data.
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate in a field-based role.
