Job :
Reporting to the Operations Director, your mission is to:
- Participate in defining the development strategy of the Transport activity in collaboration with the Operations Director and the Commercial Director and prepare the related budget.
- Participate in the development of the transport plan and ensure the smooth running of operations in terms of quality, cost, deadlines, and safety.
- Supervise transport teams (Planner, drivers, depot manager, etc.) and ensure operational efficiency.
- Contribute to and participate in the analysis of activity dashboards and implement action plans for continuous improvement of the activity.
Main tasks
- Organize and optimize goods transport within the budget.
- Periodically upgrade transport and distribution practices and adapt the activity to needs.
- Manage and approve customer delivery operations.
- Develop the dashboard and monitor performance indicators related to transport activity, with the relevant managers.
- Implement and develop operational procedures for transport activities.
- Design the transport plan.
- Approve and manage the weekly delivery schedule.
- Manage organization based on priorities and in accordance with planning.
- Ensure control and monitoring of transport and distribution operations.
- Handle technical and administrative links related to the movement of goods.
- Select subcontractors and manage relationships with service providers.
- Manage relationships with clients and ensure the quality of transport services.
- Ensure the improvement of route plans by optimizing the number of kilometers traveled.
- Ensure compliance with the Store delivery schedule by optimizing human and material resources.
- Develop, propose, and implement continuous improvement actions in collaboration with other departments.
- Ensure the good condition of the fleet and handling equipment allocated to the transport team.
- Select service providers and manage relationships with them.
- Prepare tenders for annual maintenance contracts and spare parts.
- Ensure compliance with the preventive maintenance plan.
- Investigate incidents and breakdowns and approve repairs.
- Participate in and/or manage digitalization projects for transport and fleet maintenance activities (TMS, CMMS, Fleet Management, GPS, etc.).
- Ensure regulatory monitoring in the transport and distribution sector.
- Ensure the correct understanding and application of regulatory obligations.
- Ensure compliance with transport legislation and procedures.
- Report to the Operations Director.
Required profile :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in transport, management, or logistics.
- At least 5 years of experience managing a transport management structure/unit in a similar-sized industry.
- Proficiency in the distribution and transport process.
- Proficiency in the planning process.
- Proficiency in the operations process.
- Proficiency in the purchasing process.
- Proficiency in the goods storage and delivery system.
- Proficiency in the continuous improvement approach.
- Proficiency in the quality management system.
- Proficiency in Reporting tools.
- Proficiency in route tracking tools.
- Knowledge of transport means maintenance: preventive and curative.
- Proficiency in current regulations related to the logistics and transport field.
- Proficiency in procedures regarding safety and current quality standards in terms of distribution and transport.
- Good knowledge of transport risks and hazards.
