Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to take full responsibility for Engineering, Logistics, and Maintenance activities at our facility. This role also provides strong support to the Quality department. As the Deputy to the Plant Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence and ensuring the seamless operation of our plant. Additionally, you will serve as the LEAR Tunisian expert for the Trim Covers Business, bringing specialized knowledge and leadership to our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a safety-first culture at all levels within the plant.
  • Achieve key safety performance indicators and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Build and maintain a competent and highly engaged team to drive plant success.
  • Enhance management effectiveness through clear goal-setting and efficient communication.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and timely project execution.
  • Ensure the efficiency of processes and the effective use of resources to meet business objectives.
  • Meet financial targets and manage budgets in line with company forecasts.
  • Implement weekly reporting and manage Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and other KPIs related to engineering, logistics, and maintenance.
  • Guarantee timely deliveries from suppliers and to customers.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen workshops and best practice sharing.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
  • Implement best practices and methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Drive strategic initiatives that support the company’s long-term goals.
  • Lead change management efforts to improve operational effectiveness.

Key Skills And Qualifications

  • 8 to 10 years’ experience in a similar position (Specially with Covers)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and develop a high-performing team.
  • Experience in budgeting and KPI management.
  • High project management skills
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong planning and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in English is an essential asset.
