Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager for a two-year solar plant project based in Tozeur.This role is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- HSE Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures specific to solar plant operations.
- Conduct risk assessments and create mitigation plans to ensure a safe working environment.
- Compliance and Monitoring:
- Ensure all project activities comply with local HSE laws and regulations.
- Monitor and audit site activities to ensure adherence to HSE policies.
- Conduct regular inspections and safety audits.
- Training and Development:
- Organize and conduct HSE training sessions for all project personnel.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and environmental responsibility.
- Incident Management:
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of all HSE-related activities, incidents, and training.
- Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to project management and stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and local authorities to ensure HSE compliance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all HSE matters.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Professional HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in the PV SOLAR sector, specifically solar plants.
- Proven track record in managing HSE aspects of large-scale projects.
