Description Of The Role

The Chef Concierge forms part of the Rooms Management Team and together with his/her team responds to a wide variety of guest requests by accurately assessing the guest needs and requests and then adding personal recommendations and touches to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Train, recruit, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all Concierge employees in ensuring that established cultural and core standards are met; daily activities and planning for department operation and staff scheduling.

Ensure Concierge employees are knowledgeable about city attractions and activities. Assure that desk collateral and information are current and updated. Establish contacts with vendors to provide updated and current information to guests.

Coordinate with Front Office Management the arrivals and departures to ensure the luggage handling runs smoothly.

Provide guests’ recognition, anticipate their needs whenever possible and resolve customer any complaints with the outmost professionalism.

Take action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of hotel guests and employees when senior managers are not available. Respond swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency or safety situation.

Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.

Hold departmental meeting and foster an open communication within the residential staff.

Perform Concierge duties on own and assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of Switchboard Operator, Front Desk and Guest Services.

Support with any other tasks within the division and/or any tasks assigned to by the management team
