Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- The Research and Development (R&D) Manager is responsible for overseeing the development of innovative products, services, or solutions that align with the company’s goals and market needs. This role involves leading a team of R&D professionals, setting research priorities, managing project timelines, and ensuring the successful execution of R&D initiatives from concept to commercialization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in [relevant field, e.g., engineering, biotechnology, etc.], excellent project management skills, and a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control processes to ensure that products meet specified quality standards. This role involves managing the QC team, establishing quality control procedures, and coordinating with production and engineering teams to maintain consistent quality. The QC Manager ensures that products are safe, reliable, and compliant with regulatory requirements, contributing to customer satisfaction and the company’s reputation for quality.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Establish quality objectives, targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of the QC program.
- Create and update quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), inspection guidelines, and quality manuals.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of quality control inspectors, technicians, and analysts, promoting best practices in quality control.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching and development opportunities for team members.
- Develop and implement R&D strategies and project plans that align with the company’s strategic objectives and market demands.
- Manage the R&D project lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility analysis through development, testing, and final product launch.
- Set project goals, timelines, and budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution of all R&D projects.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the R&D team, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, identify development needs, and provide training or career growth opportunities for team members.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with other departments, such as marketing, engineering, and production, to ensure successful product development and alignment with company goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor activities to inform research priorities and product innovation.
Qualifications
Chemical engineer with at least 10 years of solid experience in a similar environment.
Developed managerial skills with a high-level strategic vision.
