Job Description

Key missions of the position:
Field Service Warranty Site Manager is responsible for managing technical warranty operations and minor maintenance contracts at designated railway sites. With a focus on resolving field failures and ensuring


compliance with warranty terms, the role supports system reliability, customer satisfaction, and smooth execution of service obligations in coordination with depot teams and OEMs.


Responsibilities 


  • Manage and execute technical warranty activities including fault diagnosis, component replacement, and coordination with engineering for root cause analysis.
  • Oversee minor maintenance contracts ensuring timely service delivery, adherence to scope, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of warranty claims, service reports, and failure trends for analysis and reporting.
  • Resolve escalated service issues and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Support field validation and endurance trials of new components and retrofits.
  • Ensure compliance with RDSO guidelines, Railway Board protocols, and internal service standards.
  • Train and guide site technicians on warranty procedures, documentation, and technical updates.
  • Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure adherence to Wabtec safety standards, promote a safety-first culture across all field teams.

Education/Training


  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics

Experience 


  • 8–15 years of experience in railway field services with strong exposure to warranty management and maintenance operations.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, service analytics, and failure reporting tools
  • Sound understanding of warranty & maintenance schedules (IOH, POH) terminology of Railways and Metro Railways
  • Ready to travel frequently
  • Excellent communication skills with written and verbal proficiency in English and Hindi. Regional language will be an added advantage.

  • Strong analytical skills, Flexible attitude to work in changing environment
