Job Description

Ownership and key responsibilities


Being the Quality representative during the whole product development phase (not dedicated to contract) , according to the Wabtec Transit procedure TR-S-ENG003


Ensuring that Safety Critical characteristics Management Process is applied , managing the Control Plan Coverage


Issueing the Quality Return of EXperiencefor the main products , issueing and collecting all LLCs  


Monitoring Quality Results of the main products (internal EoL  and customer claims) leading improvement action plan , also for ToT/ToP products


Performing technical expertise on returned parts (0 km or warranty) when a 2° level analysis is needed, including on field analysis where necessary.


Main Authorities and Missions


Development : be the APQP rules keeper, and fullfil the quality requirement for each product development phase  according Product Dev milestones TR-S-ENG003


•Ph1 : Project Initialization & Project launch – Ph2 : System definition - Ph3 :  Detailed product design – Ph4 :  process and Product validation – Ph5 : on field validation 


Definition and monitoring of  Control Plan Coverage  and critical characteristics    :


•Ensuring that Safety (FC1)/Critical (FC2) products  have all critical/important characteristics covered into CPC , according to BS-S-QUA-001 standard


•Ensuring that Design Standards are respected, DFMEA is performed  and  Safety/Critical items are clearly identified and consistently transferred into drawings and technical documents


•Ensuring that Safety/critical and Important characteristics are transferred to Suppliers during S-APQP activity.


•Contributing to the drawing review and validation plan definition in case of CF1 component modification or resourcing ;  contributing to documents review issued by supplier for PPAP


•Ensuring the Incoming Inspection control plan are consistently with drawings critical/important characteristics identifications.


•Ensuring  that the safety/critical and important characteristics identified during P-FMEA are checked during first sample assembly , internal FAI and serial production, and consistently transferred in Operation control plan during assembly/testing process


PL and Product QRQC :


•Leading the root cause analysis and the PDCA/FTA in case of critical/hot issue on his products .


•Checking the "transversalization" and evaluate the Impact of the issue on the other project, country, etc....


•Supporting SQ Team during technical expertises at supplier on root cause analysis and to confirm the corrective action effectiveness at EoL


•Elaborating LLC for  0km and  WR Customer claim, mandatory in case of safety/hot issues.


•Contribute to the Product Performance improvement in projects:


•Collaborating to the Product reliability Growth follow-up (technical expertise, REX integration, …)


•Sharing the product REX with project team , ensuring that all applicable LLC are applied on new projects.


Tenders :  Contributing  to the tender review in case of specific requests about product REX


•Collaborating to the EoL (First pass Yield) monitoring and improvement action plan definition . Can stop the production line in case of major deviation or process NC.


Transfer of technology:


•ensuring the sharing of product and process REX with the receiving team , until the internal FAI is performed


•Performing regular monitoring of product conformity (i.e EoL remote monitoring) , yearly on site process/product audit


Skill


•Working experience in Quality Operations and/or product Quality ; or former Working experience in  Engineering


•Knowledge on Quality Mehodologies : QRQC, 8D, PDCA/FTA , D-FMEA, P-FMEA, Reliability Growth, R&R.


•Languages: English (mandatory)     Degree: Technical degree
