Job Title: Logistics Data Entry Specialist
Location: Tunis, Tunisia
Reporting to: Business Operations BI Manager
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Logistics Data Entry Specialist to support the day-to-day management of transportation and shipping data within our Carrier Cost Management (CCM) and COMET multi-carrier setup. This role is essential in ensuring that accurate, up-to-date information is maintained for all shipping carriers and logistics partners across global markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in enabling intelligent shipping decisions, accurate delivery commitments, and ongoing cost optimization.
This role will transition responsibility for tasks currently managed by the logistics team and will be critical as we expand from a single-carrier environment to a fully multi-carrier model across multiple regions and countries.
Ready to join us? Apply now and become part of a team that values creativity, collaboration, and continuous growth.
Primary responsibilities
1. Carrier Cost and Rate Management
- Maintain and update carrier rate cards, fuel surcharges (FSC), remote area zones, and other shipping-related cost elements in CCM.
- Input and manage rate structures for multiple carriers per country (e.g., UPS, DHL, FedEx, GLS, DPD), as opposed to current single-carrier models.
- Support mass uploads and individual entry of data across all global markets.
- Ensure all rate changes are captured accurately and on time to avoid incorrect cost allocation or delays.
- Regularly update and maintain transit time data for all carriers in the COMET system.
2. Transit Time Management
- Move from a quarterly update cadence to more frequent or event-driven updates, based on disruptions such as weather events, strikes, or major public events (e.g., FIFA Club World Cup, regional holidays).
- Ensure that transit time data is always current, as it forms the baseline for delivery time calculations and shipping method decisions.
3. Data Preparation and System Upload
- Prepare data files in the required formats for CCM and COMET, including zone maps, rate tables, and transit time matrices.
- Manage updates to current structures, which include 9 folders for the US and 11 for ROW, with an expected increase as more carriers are added.
- Perform data uploads manually, ensuring accuracy and completeness in every file.
4. Data Verification and Quality Control
- Verify data accuracy before and after uploads, flagging any discrepancies or errors.
- Conduct cross-checks to ensure rates, transit times, and zone assignments align with the latest carrier contracts.
5. Reporting and Documentation
- Generate and maintain documentation related to logistics data changes.
- Support logistics reporting needs related to carrier performance, transit time evolution, and shipping cost trends.
6. Communication and Coordination
- Collaborate closely with logistics team members and internal stakeholders to align data updates with operational needs.
- Liaise with carrier representatives as needed to gather updated rate and transit information.
7. Administrative Support
- Provide general support in organizing digital records, managing correspondence, and maintaining structured folders and audit trails.
8. Continuous Improvement
- Support ongoing process improvements in logistics data management, including system enhancement suggestions and automation opportunities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Fluent English is required
- Educational Background in Finance (e.g. ISG, IHEC, or similar institutions) is required
- 1 to 2 years professional experience in a Finance role involving Excel and data manipulation
- Good data skills using Excel are required, but advanced skills are not necessary with the ability to handle large, complex data sets.
- Highly detail-oriented, with excellent accuracy and consistency in data entry tasks.
- Ability to work independently on repetitive tasks, while maintaining strong communication with the broader team.
- Proven experience in logistics data management, shipping, or supply chain operations preferred.
- Experience working with carrier rate structures, transit time matrices, or transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus.
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
