Job description

The WHO in Tunisia supports the Ministry of Health to strengthen the health system, ensure universal access to quality care, and promote health and well-being at all stages of life (life cycle approach).

The Community Champion will act as an essential proximity agent to raise awareness among populations, encourage early access to maternal and child health services (prenatal follow-up, vaccination, nutrition), and strengthen trust between the community and health centers.

His/her role will be to contribute to (i) increasing the attendance rate of Maternal and Child Protection Centers (PMI), (ii) improving families' knowledge of danger signs during pregnancy and early childhood, and (iii) facilitating dialogue between care providers and community members.
