Station Duty Manager – Tunisi Airport


ITA Airways, the Italian national airline, has a rapidly expanding global network and subsequently looking for experienced, motivated individual with the desire to get involved with passion and initiative as a Station Duty Manager based at Tunisi Airport, in addition to overseeing seasonal operations in any other surrounding airports. In this position, you will be able to make a difference in a varied, interesting role, where sustainability is one of our fundamental pillars. You will work on a roster pattern in accordance with operational requirements.


Job Purpose: Guarantee, in coordination / in the absence of the Station Manager with the central reference functions and in compliance with the operational programs, procedures and reference legislation including customs legislation, the correct performance of Ground Handling operations for all flights operated by ITA Airways through supervision of assistance provided by third parties, contributing to the protection of the Company's image, pursuing objectives of maximum customer satisfaction.


RESPONSIBILITY


• Contributes to the safeguarding, the image and reputation of ITA Airways, guiding the behaviors and actions of the resources he/she collaborates with.

• Supervises the operational activities ensuring compliance with service and safety standards by pursuing the objectives of maximum customer satisfaction.

• Ensures the protection of company assets.

• For all flights operated by Group companies, it guarantees the correct performance of ground handling operations by supervising the services provided by third party suppliers.

• Monitors the quality delivered for the competency processes in line with company quality procedures and standards.

• Manages inefficiencies related to passengers and baggage through the supplier.

• Promptly reports to the station manager, the reference line and the OCC functions and the Ground Operations Control (GOC) regarding any incipient or sudden critical issues, providing details on how to deal with them and / or what has happened and on any possible threat to the integrity of operations (eg strikes, social unrest, security and safety issues - in coordination with Central Security - lack of resources, IT problems and / or DCS systems).

• Supports the Station Manager in guaranteeing, in the context of the passive cycle, the certification of the services provided by the suppliers of goods / services (e.g. handling agent, caterer, line maintenance, crew transport, hotac, etc.) in relation to quantitative standards / qualitative contractually defined in collaboration with the Ground Administration function Support.

• In close collaboration with the Station Manager, the Station Duty Manager ensures the constant maintenance of relations with the local airport Authorities for the purposes of the correct performance of airport activities, also through participation in any local committees present, in close coordination with the competent central functions, guaranteeing them last the necessary information flow.

• Guarantees daily operational reporting to the Station Manager and to the reference lines.


Education/Professional Background:


• Minimum 5 years of airline experience and airport environment/procedures

• Degree or diploma-level education

• Strong knowledge of systems, Microsoft and company DCS knowledge (Altea Amadeus)

• Excellent written/spoken English, knowledge of Italian a strong advantage
