Job Title: Central Maintenance Director
Overview:
The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing the maintenance department of a manufacturing facility. This role includes managing maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, and leading a team of technicians to maintain optimal production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Management:
Lead and manage the maintenance team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Develop and implement maintenance strategies that support production goals.
2. Maintenance Planning:
Create and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment.
Develop and manage maintenance budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
3. Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
4. Equipment Reliability:
Monitor equipment performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment utilization.
5. Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to enhance maintenance practices.
6. Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
Prepare reports on maintenance performance metrics for senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a wiring manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with wire manufacturing processes and equipment is a plus.
