Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and professional Assistant Front Office Manager to join our hospitality team in Algeria. 

This internship-level role provides hands-on exposure to daily front office operations, guest services, and team leadership within a dynamic hotel or hospitality environment. 

The ideal candidate will support the Front Office Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences, ensuring smooth check-in/check-out processes, and maintaining high standards of service quality.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist in coordinating daily front desk activities to ensure efficient operations and a warm, professional guest experience.
  • Greet and assist guests during check-in and check-out, handling requests and queries with courtesy and accuracy.
  • Support reservation management, room assignments, and rate integrity while maximizing occupancy and revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor lobby flow, manage queue times, and provide information about local attractions, services, and hotel facilities.
  • Respond to guest feedback, complaints, and special requests in a timely and solutions-focused manner.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping, concierge, and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready and guest needs are met.
  • Assist in administrative tasks, including handling guest records, reporting, and daily cash handling under supervision.
  • Support the Front Office Manager in staff scheduling, training, and performance monitoring to maintain service standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, and hotel policies and procedures at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (or pursuing) in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Tourism, or a related field.
  • Current internship position or recent graduate seeking hands-on experience in front office operations.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages (e.g., Arabic, French) are a plus.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with property management systems (PMS) is advantageous.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
