<p><b>Job Description:</b></p><br><p><b>Essential Job Functions:</b><br><span>• Develop, maintain, and enhance shared platform libraries and reusable components that support multiple applications, services, and AI-enabled solutions.</span><br><span>• Design and implement cross-functional features spanning backend services, frontend applications, and AI agent ecosystems to ensure seamless platform integration.</span><br><span>• Define and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end validation to ensure platform reliability and quality.</span><br><span>• Improve developer productivity by enhancing local development environments, technical documentation, debugging tools, and engineering best practices.</span><br><span>• Rapidly prototype and iterate innovative AI agents, user interfaces, forms, and mini-applications using vibecoding frameworks and reusable platform tooling.</span><br><span>• Support software release management activities, including version control, environment promotion processes, deployment validation, and production readiness reviews.</span><br><span>• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents across platform components while contributing to continuous service improvement and operational excellence.</span><br><span>• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality technology solutions.</span><br><b>Basic Qualifications:</b><br><span>• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.</span><br><span>• Typically, 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development using Python and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.</span><br><span>• Hands-on experience developing both backend services and frontend applications using technologies such as FastAPI, Next.js, React, or equivalent frameworks.</span><br><span>• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and experience with testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, Playwright, or similar tools.</span><br><span>• Familiarity with Docker containerization, CI/CD practices, and Kubernetes fundamentals within cloud-native environments.</span><br><span>• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adopt new development frameworks, tools, protocols, and emerging technologies.</span><br><span>• Working knowledge of AI and Large Language Model (LLM) concepts, including agent architectures, prompt engineering, and external tool integration patterns.</span><br><span>• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and incident response capabilities in production environments.</span><br><span>• Experience contributing to collaborative software development processes using modern version control and DevOps practices.</span><br><b>Other Qualifications:</b><br><span>• Experience working within platform engineering, developer productivity, or internal tooling teams is a plus.</span><br><span>• Familiarity with AI agent platforms, orchestration frameworks, and modern application integration architectures is preferred.</span><br><span>• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.</span><br><span>• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in cross-functional team environments.</span><br><span>• Relevant certifications in Software Development, Cloud Technologies, DevOps, Artificial Intelligence, or related disciplines are a plus.</span><br><span>• Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and improving engineering efficiency across the software development lifecycle.</span></p><br><p><span>At DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success. <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3> Design and build extensions using the ABAP RESTful Programming Model (RAP) and CDS views, following clean core and modern extensibility guidelines. Develop and maintain Fiori/UI5 applications, including Fiori Elements apps, using SAP Business Application Studio. Assess, design and implement user-requested changes (Change Management), favoring BTP-based extensions over core modifications where possible. Analyse and provide solutions (workarounds, fixes, root-cause analysis) to end-user tickets (Incident Management). Build and expose OData v4 services via RAP; maintain legacy OData v2 services where still required. Configure and maintain the Fiori Launchpad (spaces & pages model). Develop integrations using SAP BTP Integration Suite, REST/SOAP APIs, and the SAP API Business Hub. Support key user extensibility (SAP Fiori Elements/Adaptation Projects, custom fields/logic) as an alternative to developer extensibility, where appropriate. Participate in S/4HANA implementation, migration (Brownfield/Greenfield/Bluefield), and clean core assessment projects. Handle other relevant tasks within the scope of SAP support services for the client. <h3>Experience Required</h3> 4+ years of experience in SAP development (ABAP, ABAP OO, and/or Fiori/UI5) Experience with the ABAP RESTful Programming Model (RAP) and CDS view development (or strong motivation/aptitude to transition from classic ABAP) Hands-on experience with SAP Business Application Studio (SAP Web IDE experience is a plus but no longer sufficient on its own) Working knowledge of OData v4 (OData v2 knowledge still valuable for legacy support) Experience with SAP BTP, including the ABAP Environment and/or SAP BTP, Cloud Foundry environment Understanding of clean core principles and the SAP extensibility framework (key user vs. developer/side-by-side extensibility) Experience with Fiori Elements and/or freestyle SAPUI5 development Fiori Launchpad configuration, including the spaces & pages model Knowledge of REST and SOAP API technologies; exposure to SAP BTP Integration Suite / API Management is a plus Experience with SAP ABAP OO development <h3>Nice to Have</h3> SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration project experience Exposure to SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) Model (Node.js or Java) Familiarity with Git-based development and CI/CD SAP certifications relevant to BTP, ABAP Cloud, or Fiori/UX<p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><h3>Personal Profile/Attributes</h3> The ability to understand client requirements and advise them on the best solutions using SAP Technology Experience/Knowledge across numerous industry sectors Good communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills Team Player and ability to be flexible and adaptable Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and problem solver Willingness to continuously upskill as SAP's development stack evolves (ABAP Cloud, RAP, BTP services)
