We are looking for a Database and Information Systems Administrator to join our IT teams to contribute to the proper functioning of ACST operations.

- About the job: This position oversees all data systems, and the person in this role ensures seamless data flow between various systems, implementing both data integrity and backup practices for reliable accessibility by end-users via reports and third-party systems. They also provide comprehensive training on the optimal utilization of all database systems. Additionally, they manage data and facilitate ongoing data interoperability of school-adopted testing systems, information systems, reporting systems, and communication systems.
What will you be doing?
- SCHOOL DATA ADMINISTRATION
- Administer and maintain school-adopted data systems, supporting data requests, generating reports, creating data files, and providing access to data via 3rd party systems.
- Develop and maintain a schedule of data needs by system/department such as monthly or end-of-year data tasks, invoicing, student enrollments, identity management, the start of the year 3rd party system setup, assessments, and report cards.
- STUDENT INFORMATION DUTIES
- Ensure precise record-keeping of enrollment, demographic details, grading, and contact particulars.
- Facilitate the upgrading and backing up of the information systems
- Provide necessary training to administrators, teachers, and personnel on the correct utilization of instructional applications including, but not limited to SeeSaw, PowerSchool, and PowerTeacher Pro.
- Formulate and handle data extracts, imports, and personalized reports, including report cards and transcripts.
- Work with parents to solve problems connecting to school Data systems.
- Explore, implement, and support the expanded use of Student Information System (SIS) in areas like onboarding, library management, health, badges, lunch count...
- Manage the setup and delivery of school assessment systems.
- Troubleshoot data and technical issues related to the delivery of assessment.
- Assist in the setup and proctoring of assessments.
- Collect and analyze data.
- IDENTIFY MANAGEMENT AND THIRD PARTY SYSTEMS
- Ensure information is flowing between our “systems of truth” for staff, students and parents to our identity management system for the creation and maintenance of access and identity.
- Ensure instructional apps are properly provisioned and troubleshoot issues related to access to these systems
- Review metrics on usage and make recommendations
- Assist students, staff, and parents with accessing systems including providing usernames, passwords, and documentation.
- Provide training to all stakeholders in the proper use of technology and systems (May include teaching computer skills).
- Support the data, reporting needs, and information needs of adopted learning management systems.
- Create documentation, processes, and Standard Operating Procedures for various systems and tasks.

- Master Degree in IT, Database Administration or related field
- Experience with database management
- Ability to speak, write, and understand English
- Excellent communicator
- A detail-oriented person with strong problem-solving skills
- Organized and dependable
- Proven working experience as a Database Administrator
- Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL
- Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding
- Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools
- Familiarity with programming languages API
- Good Excel and Google Workplace
- Basic HTML or programming skills
