Primary purpose of job
Act as a Primary communication link between the Company and the Chartered LNG Carriers to ensure that the voyage is managed properly and vessels are safely and efficiently operated. Interacts with Owners and/or Operators and related parties to resolve problems with regards to fleet commercial operations.
Experience & Skills
- 8 years’ experience of shipping operations within a shipping/Oil/Gas Company or should have sailed as a Senior Deck or Engineering Officer; or internal transfer from marine/shipping related activities (Example: QatarEnergy Loading and Storage).
- Must have previous experience and understanding of ship operations including marine loading and discharging, in LNG or LPG operations.
- Fresh National Graduates must complete the specially structured IDP plan prior to assuming the role of the Fleet Coordination Superintendent.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills and must be a committed team player.
- Proficient written and oral English language skills, able to prepare reports and give presentations.
- Good working understanding of Shipping Commercial documents.
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of Safety, Health and Environmental Standards as they relate to the Oil & Gas Industry and the Marine Environment. Experienced in Marine Incident Emergency Response desirable.
Education
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline, e.g. Marine, navigational, Sciences or Business Administration.
