<br><p><strong>About this opportunity:</strong></p><br><br><p>We are looking for a skilled and delivery-focused Packet Core Integration Engineer to join our team at Ericsson. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality integration, configuration, and acceptance of Ericsson Packet Core solutions — including EPC, 5G Core, PCC/PCG, and related Cloud Core nodes — into live customer networks. You will ensure on-time, first-time-right delivery while maintaining a superior customer experience. This is a hands-on technical role suited for a senior engineer who thrives in complex, multi-vendor, cloud-native environments and takes pride in precision, quality, and customer satisfaction.</p><br><br><p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p><br><br><p>• Plan and execute end-to-end integrations of Packet Core solutions — both virtualized and cloud-native — on customer or Ericsson cloud platforms including CEE, ECCD, and Kubernetes-based environments<br>• Perform installation, configuration, upgrade, migration, and acceptance testing for Packet Core and Policy nodes such as MME, SGW, PGW, AMF, SMF, UPF, PCRF, and PCF<br>• Analyse customer requirements and translate HLD/LLD into executable Methods of Procedure, implementation plans, and integration checklists<br>• Troubleshoot complex issues across core network, transport, cloud, and security domains, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions<br>• Develop automation scripts, pipelines, and playbooks to improve efficiency and reduce human error during integrations and upgrades<br>• Produce and maintain technical documentation including MoPs, as-built documents, configuration baselines, and test reports<br>• Act as technical lead for small to medium engagements, mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with design, Solution Architecture, and customer teams<br>• Contribute to the evolution of methods, tools, and best practices for Packet Core deployment within the unit<br>• Ensure all work adheres to Ericsson's quality, security, and compliance standards, including change management and documentation requirements</p><br><br><p><strong>The skills you bring:</strong></p><br><br><p>• Strong hands-on experience with Packet Core products including EPC and/or 5G Core control and user plane functions, PCC/PCG, or equivalent solutions<br>• Solid understanding of mobile core architecture across 3G, 4G, and 5G, including protocols such as GTP, Diameter, HTTP/2, SBI, SCTP, and IP routing<br>• Practical experience with Linux, virtualization, and cloud-native technologies including VMware, OpenStack, CEE/ECCD, Kubernetes, Helm, and containerized deployments<br>• Proficiency in automation and scripting using Python, Bash, Ansible, and CI/CD concepts<br>• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across multi-vendor, multi-layer environments<br>• Proven customer-facing competence with the ability to lead technical discussions with customer engineers and architects<br>• Fluency in English, both spoken and written; additional local languages are an advantage<br>• 5 to 8 or more years of relevant experience in Core or Packet Core integration or operations, including lead or senior engineer responsibilities<br>• University degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification<br>• Relevant certifications in cloud, Kubernetes, IP, or security are a distinct advantage</p><br><br><p><strong>Why join Ericsson?</strong>At Ericsson, you´ll have an outstanding opportunity.
