Our Consumer Goods Division is dedicated to helping brands, retailers and manufacturers worldwide deliver safe, quality and ethically made products to their consumers. Every day at work, our inspectors, auditors, and lab techs use their expertise to help safeguard the products you use every day in your home: from clothes and footwear to toys and baby products, to electronics, appliances, and furniture.</p><p>As a Quality Control Inspector, you'll be reporting to an Operations Manager and working as a part of our Operations team. At QIMA, the role of Operations is to deliver our industry-leading services to our clients while ensuring that all the work is performed to the QIMA standard of quality. Your role in this will be to:</p><ul><li>Check email daily in order to receive inspection documents and guidelines;</li><li>Attend inspections on time and communicate with supplier in a professional way;</li><li>Perform the inspection of the merchandise according with company procedures.</li><li>Supervise the stuffing of the containers according with company procedures;</li><li>Fulfill inspection reports according with company procedures and timelines.</li></ul><p>Think you have what it takes?</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>First of all, we want someone with:</p><ul><li>Experience in quality management, especially softlines/ garments/ textiles/ footwear (2 years or more);</li><li>Knowledge of AQL standards, as well as relevant safety and quality regulations;</li><li>Good command of English (spoken and written);</li><li>Great attention to detail and strong professional ethics.</li></ul>

Our operations department s purpose is to deliver our industry-leading services to our clients while ensuring that all the work we do is performed to the QIMA standard of quality</p><p>You will be expected to:</p><ul><li>Audit the manufacturing sites of our clients suppliers, sometimes without warning. Your areas of attention will include labor rights, health and safety, environmental security, and others, according to the applicable international standard or the client s in-house procedure</li><li>Be alert to any violations, staying vigilant when dealing with factory management, and recording all your findings in detailed reports, to be delivered to the client</li><li>Approach your job with utmost integrity, as your conduct during an audit can have lasting consequences for the supplier, factory staff, and our clients</li></ul><p>We may also request you to:</p><ul><li>Provide your expertise in client meetings, to create custom quality control procedures based on their specific requirements</li><li>Contribute your ideas for improving the quality of our Operations projects</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>A higher education degree in Engineering, Law, Economics, Social Sciences or a related major.</li><li>Master's degree.</li><li>3+ years of experience conducting social audits.</li><li>APSCA certification (CSCA preferred).</li><li>SMETA/BSCI/SA8000/WRAP or mixed audits done in recent 12 months.</li><li>Have good command of English (spoken and written)</li></ul>
