<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>Perform daily nursing activities in the framework of health direct assistance and AVRR of medical cases.</p><p>Provide information and detailed explanations to the migrants in relation to:</p><ul><li>IOM health assistance,</li><li>The migration health assessment process before movements; and,</li><li>Treatments and referrals.</li></ul><p>Ensure proper identification and follow-up by:</p><ul><li>Comprehensive history taking;</li><li>Referrals to doctors and hospitals and,</li><li>Accompany particularly vulnerable migrants to hospitals;</li><li>Raise awareness about migrants right to health with health service providers.</li><li>Keeping a register of applicants who benefit from health assistance.</li></ul><p>Contribute to providing counselling and health education to migrants, on health prevention and management as appropriate.</p><p>Support with maintaining and updating IOM database in the area of migration and health for the sub-office, including through ensuring that all health assistance to beneficiaries is recorded on the IOM Migrant Management & Operational System (MiMosa) and other relevant databases. Timely provide data for reporting.</p><p>Prepare administrative reports and updates on health trends in the region as necessary.</p><p>Assist with pre-departure documents, briefings, and preparations as necessary.</p><p>Maintain collaborative relationships with various partners to facilitate the follow up and relevant information sharing. Partners include internal IOM departments, other health providers, panel physicians, NGO s and others as applicable.</p><p>Collect statistical information and share with the Head of sub-office and the Senior Project Assistant in Tunis.</p><p>Perform other duties as may be assigned.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p><strong>Education</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor s degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited academic institution in Nursing in countries where the Diploma allows to fulfil the full scope of responsibilities defined in PDs.</li><li>A valid license to practice nursing in the country of duty station.</li></ul><p>Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. </p><p><strong>Experience</strong></p><ul><li>For Bachelor's Degree holder a minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience and for Diploma holder a minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience.</li><li>Excellent technical skills.</li><li>Experience in working with people from different cultural background is an advantage.</li><li>Training or working experience in the areas of Tuberculosis management, mass immunizations, communicable diseases, laboratory testing or public health is an advantage. </li><li>Knowledge of and experience in clinical nursing.</li><li>Knowledge of principles of preventive care and disease control.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Capacity to work effectively and harmoniously within people at different levels within and outside organization and with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds;</li><li>Candidate should be highly motivated with dynamic personality and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines;</li><li>Ability to draft correspondence and communicate effectively;</li><li>High level of computer literacy (MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook); experience in handling web-based management system;</li><li>Ability to analyse and interpret source information and data; capable of designing, reviewing and revising business processes to achieve efficiency;</li><li>Strong organizational and planning skills; </li><li>Excellent time management skills; </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in all three languages (Arabic, French, English);</li><li>Attention to details and problem-solving skills;</li><li><span>Capacity to work effectively and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.</span></li></ul><p><strong>Languages</strong></p><p>All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish).</p><p>For all applicants, fluency in French & Arabic is required (oral and written).
