Context Operating in Tunisia since 1974, the UNFPA- United Nations Population Fund is the UN's sexual and reproductive health agency. UNFPA’s mandate is to deliver a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person's potential is fulfilled. In Tunisia, UNFPA works closely with the government and civil society to expand access to high-quality sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights (SRHR), eliminate gender-based violence (GBV), support data-driven population dynamics (such as utilizing data from the general population census), and empower young people. This UNV assignment is an integral part of UNFPA Tunisia’s communication strategy. The mission focuses on UNFPA mandat y by transforming strategic proposals into clear, accessible visual content. By building creative narratives around population dynamics and human rights, this role ensures the community and decision-makers are informed and engaged. This volunteer assignment is supported by the Swiss Embassy in Tunisia as part of an initiative in partnership with the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) program to enhance youth inclusion, with a focus on the inclusion of young people with disabilities (2024-2026). Support to Audiovisual Production The UN Volunteer will contribute to the production of audiovisual content aimed at showcasing UNFPA’s activities and results through: Supporting the capture of photos, videos, and audio content during events, workshops, field missions, interviews, and other programme activities;Assisting in the preparation and organization of filming and photo sessions;Supporting the editing and production of short and long-form video content for digital platforms, communication campaigns, and institutional products;Contributing to the selection, organization, and processing of audiovisual materials produced;Assisting in the preparation, setup, and proper functioning of audiovisual equipment during communication activities. 2. Job Description YOUR MISSION The Africa Regional Finance team is looking for a 360º, analytical and hands-on Finance Analyst who can provide support in strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will also support the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes and participate in various FP&A projects and initiatives. THE JOURNEY <ul><li>Prepare bi-weekly cash flow forecast and variance analysis</li><li>Ensure accurate partners invoicing and payment</li><li>Produce regular and ad-hoc reports concerning AR, AP, inventories, billing...</li><li>Respond to Ah-Hoc inquiries from internal (HQ, Regional, other local departments) an external stakeholder (business partners, vendors, banks…)</li><li>Assist with reconciliation of management and financial reports on a monthly basis;</li><li>Communicate with regional and HQ stakeholders on a regular basis</li><li>Support the local implementation of new systems, ERPs and any business processes oroptimization initiatives</li><li>Act as trusted advisor to the Commercial team for finance-related topics</li><li>Be part of the Finance & Strategy Team to help take decisions that will shape the future of our business in the country</li><li>Support with the Finance & Strategy team of the FP&A and controlling functions (Business Plan, monthly closings, etc)</li><li>Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference</li><li>Lead and participate in finance related projects in order to improve our processes and data reliability</li><li>Work closely with Global Finance Teams (Billing, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounting, etc) to solve any day-to-day issues</li><li>Good familiarity with Tax regulations and Compliance matters and tax impacts in all its forms</li><li>Participate and align with HQ FP&A Global team in projects to improve visibility on finance performance and ad-hoc projects</li><li>Cover other ad-hoc Finance operations requests.</li></ul> Qualifications WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or similar;</li><li>5+ years of experience in a finance role</li><li>Fluency in Business English is a must</li><li>Advanced level in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets is a must</li><li>Ability to think critically and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Excellent time management skills and attention to detail</li><li>Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team</li><li>Continuous improvement mindset</li><li>Previous experience in positions related to Finance operations and Financial Planning and</li><li>Strategy</li><li>Experience in Finance related project management and systems’ implementation</li><li>Analytical and 360 mindset</li><li>Problem solver and data-driven</li><li>Organized and strong attention to detail</li><li>Ability to prioritize and meeting deadlines</li></ul>Individuals representing diverse profiles, and abilities, encompassing various genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds, are less likely to apply for this role if they do not possess solid experience in 100% of these areas.
